I am Ali, a certified RYT500 yoga teacher, Ayurvedic nutritionist, and an outdoor enthusiast. Currently, I am based in Jasper, AB and occasionally I go back to Invermere, BC. Yoga and Mountains are two of my life’s passions, so besides doing yoga, you can find me climbing, skiing, biking, SUPing, or exploring the beauty of nature and mountains around me.
MY YOGA STORY
My path to a yogic life began in my teens through meditation. In my early twenties, I started to do asana (yoga pose) practice to support my other outdoor activities. It wasn’t until 2014 when I discovered the complete picture of yoga as a path and a wholesome practice, and my life was changed. My passion to share positivity and enthusiasm for life inspired me to share my yogic practice with others. In 2019, I finally gathered enough confidence to overcome my insecurity of teaching in English, my second language, and started my journey as a yoga teacher.
I am a registered RYT500 yoga teacher with a variety of certifications that allows me to share these yoga styles with you: Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Nidra, Adaptive & Trauma Informed Yoga, Children Yoga, and Meditation. As a little study nerd, I’m always enrolled in some new training to expand my knowledge!
My yoga classes are suitable for all levels and will encourage you to find yourself in each pose. No matter how skilled you're in yoga, I will always offer multiple variations for you to embody the poses within a safe space while using props. I believe that practicing yoga helps us to bring a sense of balance to our mind and body, reconnects us to the present moment, and helps us to find happiness and kindness from within.
In my eyes, yoga is a life long journey and I couldn’t be happier to share this journey with you. Whether you are a current or past student of mine, a friend, a family member, or a likeminded soul that I happened to cross paths with through this website, I am excited to walk the yogic path alongside and see you on the mat!
